Bode Launches New D.C.-Based Government Relations Firm
Denise Bode, a tax and trade attorney, former state-wide elected official, and energy trade associations’ CEO, with over four decades of public policy experience, announced the establishment of Constitution Partners LLC, a bipartisan and bicameral lobbying firm servicing clients in the agriculture, food, energy, environment, tax, and trade industries.

Bode has been influencing federal policy since she was 13 years old, when she helped fuel a grassroots movement to allow girls to serve as Congressional pages. With the assistance of her father, Bode drafted a petition that she circulated with her friends and presented to Oklahoma delegation members and House Speaker John McCormack, which led to a change in the policy.
Bode has extensive experience in tax, energy, environment, food, agriculture, and trade policy, as well as strong relationships with key policymakers. She has made numerous appearances in testimony before Congress and in leading news programs and documentaries. Before founding Constitution Partners LLC, Bode broke several glass ceilings. She was the first woman to serve as Managing Partner, Federal Practice at Michael Best Strategies, CEO of the American Wind Energy Association, CEO of the American Clean Skies Foundation, and President of the Independent Petroleum Association of America. Bode also served as a statewide elected official for two 6-year terms on the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Tax Counsel and founding partner at Gold and Liebengood, and Tax Counsel to U.S. Senator and former Oklahoma Governor David Boren (D- OK). Bode holds a J.D. from George Mason School of Law and an L.L.M. (tax) from Georgetown School of Law.
Partner Patrick Firth and Associate Emily Green, who also previously teamed at Michael Best Strategies, have joined Constitution Partners LLC. Firth’s achievements include securing critical tax incentives, essential tariff exclusions, beneficial appropriations and authorization language, and a $43 million cooperative agreement between the U.S. Government and a client. Through his federal advocacy work, Firth, who also serves as Democratic Party Chairman in Talbot County, Maryland, and enjoys strong relationships with key Democratic congressional staff and policymakers. Emily Green’s research and writing skills complement her strong ties to southern congressional delegations. Green received her Master of Arts in U.S. foreign policy from American University and has a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Presbyterian College, where she served as a two-term student body president.
